Question 1

What exactly is PicTawk?

Accepted Answer

A photo and reel marketing platform for venues and events. Guests are captured on a professional camera, find their photos with a selfie and unlock them by sharing a reel branded with the venue.

Question 2

Is it PicTawk, PicTalk or PicTok?

Accepted Answer

It is PicTawk (pic + tawk), the photo and reel marketing platform at pictawk.com. People also spell it PicTalk, Pic Talk, Pic Tawk, PicTok or Pic Tok: it is the same company.

Question 3

Is PicTawk a photo booth?

Accepted Answer

It does what a photo booth or 360 photo booth does, and more. Instead of a booth that prints or emails photos, PicTawk installs a professional camera and lighting, guests find their photos with a selfie, and every photo and reel carries your branding when they share it. It works as a permanent selfie station for venues or as photo booth hire for a single event.

Question 4

How is PicTawk different from hiring an event photographer?

Accepted Answer

A photographer hands you a folder of photos days later. With PicTawk, guests get their photos on the night through face recognition, and they unlock them by sharing a branded reel, so the photography doubles as social media marketing. Clubs and events can still book PicTawk photographers for roaming shots.

Question 5

Is PicTawk a marketing agency or a brand activation?

Accepted Answer

PicTawk is a word-of-mouth and user-generated content (UGC) marketing platform. It's an alternative to paying influencers or running ads: your own guests become the content, and their shares reach their followers. Brands also use it for event activations and experiential marketing.

Question 6

How do guests find their photos?

Accepted Answer

With a selfie. PicTawk's face search matches the guest to every photo they appear in, in seconds.

Question 7

Do guests have to share?

Accepted Answer

Sharing is the exchange: guests get professional photos and reels, the venue gets exposure on their social networks. Without sharing, full-resolution photos stay locked.

Question 8

Does PicTawk provide the camera and setup?

Accepted Answer

Yes. PicTawk supplies and installs the camera, lighting and tablet, sets up the branding and trains staff. Clubs and events can also book photographers.

Question 9

How is PicTawk priced?

Accepted Answer

Venues rent camera stations monthly, clubs add photographer shifts, and events are quoted per event with a sponsor revenue share.
